Watercolour Moodscapes
Whenever I paint, I am always drawn to atmosphere or mood. This series of work evolved from my landscape work but I allowed myself to go with the flow. Working wet into wet, the subject emerged through the painting process. I call them moodscapes because the mood is really the subject rather than any specific landscape

Acrylic Moodscapes
This series was inspired by a journey back home across the moors from Howarth. No artificial light, just the remains of natural light and a broad dark horizon
Pastel Moodscapes
The combination of subtle colours and techniques ranging from subtle blending to expressive mark- making serve to express my emotional response to memories of landscape. The variety of colours and tones of the paper or card itself helped to intensify the emotional impact of this body of work.
