This is a signed limited edition print of an original soft pastel painting by artist Michael Howley. The subject of the painting is a softly atmospheric evening seascape as the sun goes down behind the horizon. There is a white glow at the centre of the sun graduating through soft reds, oranges and pinks which permeate the purple grey clouds above. The pink tones are reflected on the crest of the waves which are otherwise coloured in purple-greys and blue-greys. The view is towards Boulby Cliffs from Staithes with the headland in dark purple-greys to the left.
