Michael Howley is a British artist born in 1964 near Pendle Hill in Lancashire. From childhood he was drawn to drawing and soft pastels, inspired by the changing light and moods of the Northern English landscape. Over time he expanded into oils, watercolours and acrylics, developing atmospheric landscape and “moodscape” paintings that evoke both place and emotion.
